Meals On Wheels
Since its inception Murrysville Meals On Wheels has been dedicated to providing local homebound
residents with nutritious meals and more. An all volunteer force of over 200 operates this
community service. Four days a week, fifty-two weeks a year, teams of cooks gather at 8:30 am to
prepare the homebound meals with care. Then at 11:00 am the delivery teams take over to visit
the recipients homes. In addition to home delivered meals these teams provide the important plus
of personal contact; a quality missing from the day to day lives of many a homebound person. This
contact not only reassures the recipient that someone is concerned about them; but should they
need emergency assistance the delivery teams know where to call.

opportunity to help provide this much needed community service. There is always a need for cooks,

from almost any donation of time, talent, supplies, or support you can imagine.
